Piers Anthony Weymouth Wedgwood, Lord Wedgwood 1954 - 2014

Many obituaries have appeared around the world upon the recent death of our friend Lord Wedgwood.  There are some errors in many of them.  He was 15 when he assumed the Wedgwood peerage, upon the death of his father, also at an early age, in 1970.  He was not a member of the House of Lords after the 1999 Peerage Act, but of course still retained his title.  He was a member of the Royal Automobile Club of England, the London Racquet Club and The Philadelphia Club and a member of several Wedgwood societies around the globe.  His Memorial Service will take place on March first in Philadelphia. If you wish to make any comments about your own encounters with His Lordship, feel free to comment here.

  1. I have a question following the death of Lord Wedgwood. I purchased a 24 piece Cornucopia dinner set some 13 years ago where Lord Wedgwood attended and signed my dinner set along with many other pieces. My understanding is that this dinner set is no longer made as a 24 piece set and i would like to obtain a valuation of what the set is worth given that it was signed.
